| 39 | Building and repair of seagoing ships | AFAS and EVFTA: Ship maintenance and repair services (CPC 8868): establish a joint venture with a Vietnamese partner in which the foreign capital contribution cannot exceed 70%.
Particularly, EVFTA adds regulations on shipbuilding and ship repair as follows: No commitment for foreign investment in the production of cargo ships under 10,000 DWT; container ships under 800 TEU; passenger ships of less than 500 seats and barges (ISIC 3511). Only joint ventures are allowed and the capital contribution of foreign investors must not exceed 50%. |
